The office of Training and Organizational Development designs and coordinates training and development opportunities for personal and professional growth for all Colorado State University employees — academic faculty, administrative professional staff, and state classified personnel. Our vision is to provide experiences and organizational development services that support faculty and staff and align with Colorado State University’s strategic initiatives and mission.

Most training and consulting services are free of charge, though there may be a fee for cost of materials or copy written resources.

Crucial Conversations, Summer 2018. Register Now!

Would you like to open dialogue? Resolve agreements? Increase accountability? Create alignment? Improve decisions?

Crucial Conversations ®* is a 16-hour course that teaches skills for creating alignment and agreement by fostering open dialogue around high-stakes, emotional, or risky topics — at all levels of the organization. By learning how to speak and be heard (and encouraging others to do the same), you’ll begin to surface the best ideas, make the highest-quality decisions, and then act on your decisions with unity and commitment.

Length of class: 16 hours – four, 4-hour sessions

* Cost: To cover the cost of class materials, a fee of $265.00 is required prior to the start of training. More information on payment by Internal Order in Kuali is provided upon registration. Register through the My Learning website.

Introduction to the Building Proctor’s Role
July 18, 12:30 – 4:30 p.m.

This introductory course provides a review of the duties and common issues faced by every Building Proctor. Interactive case studies will make this information immediately useful. Instructors: Team of campus experts. Class length: 4 hours.

Ready Colorado State
July 27, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Review and discuss the CSU Emergency Plan so all employees know where they and their building plans fit toward meeting the university’s responsibility to capably respond to a range of emergencies. Team instructors, led by Bob Chaffee. Class length: 4 hours.
